“Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Nutritional Therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and well-being.”
British Association For Nutrition And Lifestyle Medicine
Nutrition Therapy is an integral part of my Intuitive Healing Therapy sessions.
I use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to your individual’s symptoms and health concerns. I work to address any nutritional in-balance and help support the body towards maintaining health. I advise on what diet should be utilised to best support certain medical conditions, as well as attempting to lower the risk of new complications.
How I can Help You
- I can help you identify whether you are suffering from an allergy, a food sensitivity or an intolerance, all of which may have different causes.
- You may have been diagnosed with a condition that requires long-term medication (high blood pressure or high cholesterol) but feel uncomfortable about taking medication on a long-term basis for something which is known to be related to diet and lifestyle choices. I can help you to make changes to your diet and lifestyle that may help improve these conditions.
- I can help with any number of symptoms that interfere with your daily life including asthma or eczema, other skin problems, mood swings, feeling tired, migraine headaches, PMS, anxiety, constipation, bloating or you want to learn if there is something more that you can do.
- I can help you to analyse your diet and lifestyle patterns and identify areas that may be perpetuating your symptoms. Sometimes further investigations may reveal triggers that you had not considered previously, such as an intolerance to certain foods, or maybe there are certain nutrients in which you are deficient, which may be contributing to your symptoms. Often, there are simple changes that can be made to your diet which can bring about relief.
- Recurrent or persistent infections such as urinary infections, sinusitis, ear infections, throat infections, or conjunctivitis can sometimes indicate an inability of the immune system to get on top of an infection, which can occur for a variety of reasons
